Just the way you have the ability to mute the television, Twitter has announced that its latest update will include the ability to mute other tweeter’s posts. If you have ever followed a celebrity releasing an album, on tour, or had any other annoying tweeter in your feed, you know what it is like to be bombarded by too many unnecessary, unimportant tweets for a short time. When you’re sure the annoying posts will end eventually, you no longer have to unfollow or block them obviously. You can inconspicuously hide their tweets for a while until they come to their senses and learn to filter their thought-to-Twitter flow. And the other Tweeter will be none the wiser because as muting is different from blocking, they will still be able to view, favorite, and retweet yours. The update is still a few weeks out but if you’ve waited this long, what’s a few more hundred boring tweets to sift through until then?
